  As this site has developed, we have had a lot of interest not only from Grantwood residents but from people who live outside the Village. We welcome input from our readers and hope that you will consider this YOUR electronic newspaper. So, by all means, let us know what is happening, what you would like to know more about and what your brilliant and beautiful family and friends have accomplished.

WHAT IS NEWS?

You probably already know what constitutes news, but as we watch t.v. these days, we begin to wonder if everyone does. For our purposes it might mean

• Information from the state and county governments that affects you
• Information for seniors
• Articles about awards, scholarships, promotions and accomplishments
• Announcements - weddings, deaths, births, inductions, Eagle Scouts....
• Events - Easter Egg Hunt, National Night Out, anime' conventions (just wanted to know if you were paying attention)
• Classic car meets, yard tractor pulls...tricycle races....parkway baseball games,,,weeding parties...

You get the idea....so, send NEWS information to

We can accept photos in JPEG format at website resolution.

   Feel free to submit information about your organization. Events, announcements, meetings, accomplishments.... think of this as your E-News site where other members and the community can learn about you.

  We would love to have submissions in rich text or html format, but do the best you can and we will do the rest. Do not hesitate to give it a try, even if you think it is wrong. We are here to help spread the good news about the wonderful people of Grantwood Village.

What is NOT News?

  Issues of a more personal nature will be best suited for the

For example:

• What do you think about global warming?
• Are you sick of Brittany?
• Does your neighbor like to run his leaf blower after dark?
• Are you concerned about an issue facing the Village, the County, the world?
• Opinions and Editorials
• You want to discuss a pending decision by the Board of Trustees, the county, state of White House
• You need a new roof and don't want to take a chance on a bad roofer. Ask your neighbors who they would recommend.Check the GOOD GUYS List.
• Any thought that you want to share (in public) and expect to have disputed or responded to by your neighbors

It's your Forum, use it wisely and fairly.  The site will, of course, be monitored for civility. The web administrator reserves the right to withhold material that does not meet the bounds of healthy discussion. Any omission will be discussed with the sender.
